Abstract
Copper nanoparticles doped with Tamarindus indica seed extract (TA-Cu-NPs) were green-synthesized to combine stainability with enhanced adsorption and photocatalytic potential for wastewater treatment. Comprehensive characterization (SEM, FTIR, XRD, and BET) confirmed their porous structure and active surface functionalities. Batch adsorption of Malachite Green (MG) revealed significant effects of pH, dosage, initial MG dye concentration, contact time, and temperature with equilibrium data fitting the Langmuir model. Kinetic and thermodynamic analyses indicated chemisorption, spontaneity, and endothermicity. To enhance the process optimization through CCD modelling in Response Surface Methodology (RSM), showed strong agreement between predicted and experimental results, establishing TA-Cu-NPs as a robust and scalable adsorbent for environmental remediation

Dr. Meena Vangalapati is Professor having an experience of 23 years in teaching and 16 years of Research experience from the Department of Chemical Engineering, Andhra University College of Engineering (A), Andhra University, Visakhapatnam.She has successfully guided 39 M.Tech students, and 20 Research scholars were pursuing PhD (09 awarded and 03 submitted) under her guidance. Dr. Meena Vangalapati has published more than 180 research articles in reputed National and International journals, She has written 16 Books / Monographs and 05 Indian Patents(02granted and 03 published). Dr.Meena Vangalapati is a “Member in Editorial board” for 06 National and International journals and also served as Reviewer for 09 National and International journals. She is a Life member in 08 national and international associations. Dr.Meena Vangalapati has H-index 21 and i10-index 31 in Google Scholar citation. Dr.Meena Vangalapati has Scopus H-index 12. Dr.Meena Vangalapati has received an appreciation from ministry of finance, govt of india.
